On 15th September 2015, the students at MEC had an opportunity to participate in a poster making contest – a team activity which was aimed at motivating people to take a moment and care for someone who may be in distress.
The teams began pouring in and all the participants started working on their posters in full swing. The room was brimming with inspiring ideas and stunning artwork. Contestants created posters with all types of media – paints, colour pencils, chalk etc. while having one goal in mind – to accurately depict the theme: ‘Looking out for each other’. We participated in an educational fair and tried to help students make informed choices about various programs and admission criteria at MEC, along with other institutions like the Raffles Millennium International, Alliance University, Manipal University, Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Western New England University, S P Jain School of Global Management, Swiss Hospitality Education Worldwide, Teesside University, Edinburgh Napier University and Istituto Marangoni. A full day workshop on “Protection of Intellectual Property through Patents” was organised for the academia and the industry on 12 September, 2015 at the MEC campus. Nearly 35-40 industry leaders and academicians attended the workshop. Mr Ashok Ram Kumar, a leading IPR attorney was the subject matter expert.
